Specialty Oils & Vinegars Sherry Vinegar

Sherry Vinegar

Our vinegar is produced from the ‘must’ (freshly pressed unfermented juice) of the sherry grape. Our Sherry vinegar is made in the Spanish province of Cádiz, inside an area known as the ‘sherry triangle’.

Authentic sherry vinegar is called “Vinagre de Jerez”, and by law the different grades must be aged in American oak barrels for a minimum of six months and up to or more than ten years. The vinegar is a pale-golden colour and is full-bodied, with a rich, strong, nutty, sweetish flavour that is well-rounded and complex.

The wonder of our vinegar is that it’s aged and blended so that younger vinegar picks up the characteristics of the older vinegar: complex, harmonious, deep, rich, nutty, slightly sweet, and very sharp. 1881 Sherry Vinegar Reserva has a minimum of 2 years ageing in wood and is ideal as a condiment for salads, fishes, meats, oils and everything you want with the flavour of this fantastic product!.

1881SAT Santa Teresa

The Village Osuna, whose origins can be traced back to the year 1000 BC, has reaped the benefits left by different civilisations such as Tartessus, Iberians, Romans, Muslims and Castilians among others.

With infinite patience, the village, known by its heritage, has been able to create a superior culture based around the olive tree.

In 1.959, SAT Santa Teresa was founded by 37 farmers. This was the seed for what today is the entity that groups together the vast majority of the labourers in Osuna. Currently, there are 1,177 associates.
